"E-Co-Housing: the urban and shared village" was the topic for the Industrial Design, Interior Design and Scenography course in cooperation with the European Design Institute (IED). (2006-2007 Academic year).
E-Co-housing is a living experience in shared spaces and everyday life addressed as well to energy saving and economy.
Co-Housing was first conceived in Scandinavia in the 60s and has now spread widely in Northern Europe, the USA, Canada, Australia and Japan. The reasons why people decide to live together lie in their strong desire to rediscover a social balance based on mutual help and to reduce the complexities of life, stress and everyday running costs. |
