The name Spya summarises the project theme: peep, glimpse – create a visual game before the men and women meet at the end of the itinerary in a single room.
An installation inside the previous structure designed so that it is fully exploited, with special attention paid to legislation regarding eliminating obstacles for the disabled. The flooring is from the Globe-rose line by FLORIM and is the same throughout the ground floor to highlight the continuity between public and private areas.
The bathroom can be reached from the hotel lobby and the Loungerie, and is between two large curved glass block walls from the Doric line by SEVES; the transparent, fluted surfaces create a see – can’t see game, giving a glimpse of the access area to the bathroom, where the self-standing units with recessed accessories are arranged, with washbasins from the Flow line by SIMAS with Icon taps by ST. Privacy is guaranteed inside the bathrooms with sanded finished glass blocks.
Plays of light give a constantly different perception of the area: by day white light makes it elegant and in the evening, coloured lights create some fascinating sensations. The RGB led system is incorporated into the bearing structure for the glass block walls, so that during the day they take on different colours. The internal walls are made from a polymer that is matt white during the day and is lit from behind during the evening to reveal a shade on shade weave.
The bathroom is a playroom between men and women, they are separated but not divided and there is a small intimate space in the middle where they meet, an Alimia model Jacuzzi suggests a new use for the bathroom and the OIKOS perfumes create sensorial experiences that are different every time. |
